In 1994, Japanese engineer Masahiro Hara invented the QR code, inspired by a game of Go. The black and white stones on the board gave him the idea of a code readable instantly, from any direction.

Frequently asked questions

What is a GoHara digital identity?
It is a personal space linked to the QR code of your creation. You present your world there and you choose the information others will be able to discover.
How does the QR code work?
Every creation carries a unique QR code. When someone scans it, they reach your public digital identity, according to the settings you have chosen.
Can I edit my identity after purchase?
Yes. You update the information of your digital identity from your personal space, without changing the artwork printed on the creation. Changes are immediate.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Your public identity opens straight in the phone browser after the scan.
How long to receive my order?
Each creation is made on demand with a unique QR code fused into your design. Preparation takes 5–10 business days, followed by 3–7 business days for delivery in metropolitan France. International delivery can take up to 21 business days. You receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships.
Do I need to reprint the creation after an edit?
No for a simple update of your digital identity: the same QR code stays linked to your space. A reprint may however become necessary if the physical QR code is damaged, worn away or hard to scan. Its readability depends on wear, care and the condition of the print.
Are edits paid?
No. Edits are free: no subscription, no hidden fees. You update your information from your personal space, as often as needed.
What information is visible?
Only what you choose to make public. Check the settings of your identity before sharing it.
Does the QR code withstand washing?
Yes. The QR code is printed using high-quality DTF (Direct To Film) on Stanley/Stella organic cotton. It is designed to withstand repeated washing when cared for as recommended. Wash at 30°C, inside out, to help preserve the colors.
Can people write to me without my number?
Yes, that is GoHara anonymous messaging. Visitors to your identity can write to you without knowing your number or email, and without giving theirs. You get an alert, you reply from your space, and the conversation continues in a private thread. You can close a conversation or turn messaging off in one click.
Can I temporarily disable my identity?
Yes. From your personal space, you can pause your creation in one click. The QR code then points to a neutral page until you are ready to share your identity again. You can reactivate it whenever you want.
What are the return conditions?
You have 30 days after delivery to report a manufacturing defect, labeling error, or shipping damage. Because each creation is personalized with your unique QR code, returns for a change of mind are not available. See our return policy.
Is the payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, world leader in online payments (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted. We do not store any banking data on our servers.
